I’ve been visiting with a most intriguing people – the Norse.  As I write this, I’m being warmed by a fire, while I listen to their tales of past battles intertwined with the stories of their Gods.  The spring air around us is thick with labdanum, moss, and hints of lavender.  It mingles nicely with the fire and tanned leather, creating a most intoxicating fragrance.  Surely, it would make for a fabulous cologne, but as we know, cologne won’t be invented for a few more centuries.
