My recent travels had me feeling somewhat homesick, so I chose to spend some time camping in the forests of my homeland.  It’s cold and dark this time of year, but I find myself comforted by the familiar sounds and scents surrounding me.  The invigorating scent of evergreens, their branches and bark covered in freshly fallen snow.  There isn’t anything quite like taking a deep breath in a cold, winter forest.  I would write more, but a small woodland creature has helped itself to my campfire and dinner.

Yours,
Prof A.
