My Dearest Friend,

I must say this trip home has filled me with holiday cheer.  The Christmas markets packed with all sorts of beautifully crafted gifts and yummy treats.  The scent of fresh Christmas trees filling the frosty air and the lovely taste of risalamande – ah, the almond rice pudding, there is truly nothing more divine.  Well, maybe the mulled wine, and the scent of cinnamon and sugared orange filling the air.

Trust when I say I’m filling my suitcase with gifts for everyone, and I’m quite proud of myself for the one I’ve picked for you, but you’ll have to wait until my return because I’m not giving any hints.
