The next time I mention the idea of traveling this far back, talk me out of it. It’s one thing to read about the creatures of antiquity but seeing them… I happened upon a cave just after sunset, while following the most intoxicating fragrance. It was an exotic spiced tea, with hints of jasmine that had me strolling right into the cave, and nearly my demise. The scent grew stronger as I ventured deeper into the cave, when suddenly an all too familiar hissing sound broke whatever spell I was under. I looked around the corner, and there she was in all her glory, Medusa! Thankfully, I made a quick footed escape before her eyes met mine, or you would be receiving a very different letter.
Yours,
Prof. A

One of three Gorgon sisters, believed to be both beautiful and terrifying, with hair made of snakes, gazing upon her would turn you to stone. It is believed Perseus beheaded her, using her head as a weapon before gifting it to Athena, who placed it in her shield, the Aegis.
